This year, the much-loved Teran Wine & Truffle Festival returns for a two-day edition! Mark your calendars for Saturday, 17 October, and Sunday, 18 October 2026!
The 15th Teran Wine & Truffle Festival brings together numerous exhibitors, offering tastings of Teran wine, truffles and a variety of products made from these two local delicacies. The festival in Motovun is synonymous with quality winemakers, exceptional Teran wines and a meeting place for leading truffle product manufacturers and truffle purchasing companies. Visitors can also look forward to delicious dishes prepared with these two gastronomic treasures, accompanied by plenty of great music!
As autumn colours sweep across Istria, its landscapes shimmer in hundreds of shades of yellow, orange and red. Perched atop a hill, the medieval town of Motovun gazes majestically over this colourful scenery, with breathtaking views of Motovun Forest, the Mirna River and its stunning valley. Every October, when these two delicacies reach their peak, Motovun hosts the Teran Wine & Truffle Festival, bringing together Teran wine — whose finest examples come from the Motovun area — and truffles, the underground treasure of Istria’s Motovun Forest, without which modern gourmet cuisine would be unimaginable.
