On Saturday, June 18, 2022, the promotion of the book "Case against Diletta [Motovun, 1271]" will take place at 7 pm in the "New Gate" Tower, Ressel Square 1 in Motovun.
The book by Dunja Milotić and Ivan Milotić is based on an original document dated 6 July 1271 and written on parchment in Gothic script. This extremely valuable literary work for Motovun deals with the events of 1271, when the first Motovun podestà Tomaso Michiel had his own wife Diletta condemned and executed from the standpoint of customary, Venetian and Roman canon law for witchcraft.
